How can I return my vote-by-mail ballot?
You have three options:
Mail: Ensure it is postmarked by 8 PM on Election Day and arrives within 6 days.
Official Drop Box: Use any secure ballot drop box, including the one outside Paramus Borough Hall.
County Board of Elections: Hand-deliver it to the Bergen County Board of Elections by 8 PM on Election Day.
Do I need to sign anything?
Yes! Be sure to sign the certificate on the envelope. Ballots without a signature on the certificate cannot be counted.
Can I return my vote-by-mail ballot at an in-person voting site?
No, vote-by-mail ballots cannot be returned at in-person or early voting polling locations.
How can I check if my ballot was received?

What should I do if I lost or damaged my ballot?
If your ballot is lost or damaged, you can request a replacement by contacting the County Clerk’s office.
What if I change my mind and want to vote in person instead?
If you requested a vote-by-mail ballot, you must use it to vote. You cannot vote on a machine at in-person polling sites.
